Re: ***Cages in the USA***
Can this be stickied? Really irritating to have to look for it, and it's extremely useful.

Stickied.
Be on the lookout for Petco's Dollar-per-gallon sales periodically, as they make those 40 gallon aqariums very cheap! (one's happening right now).

Re: ***Cages in the USA***
Flower says thank you!!! I'm so happy about this thread... my husband is still in the design phase of her "giant, one-level, old-lady-Syrian-hamster retirement home bin..." so this gives me a resource in the meantime.

Re: ***Cages in the USA***
Lugarry, Petsmart stopped selling WARE Natural for Hamsters a while ago - they only offer a much taller version for rats now, which I would not advise because its platforms are small, and a ham could have an unpleasantly long fall from the top. I can edit your list to add that, if you can't. Petco sells it now (on-line only), but it's rather overpriced there (maybe with a sale coupon of sorts it'd be okay, but still, it used to go for as little as $38 at PetSmart on sales).

Re: ***Cages in the USA***
After a concern that my Syrian might be falling from too high a height in the American version of the Mamble that I have I ordered the Kevin 82 from Petstore.com for 135 and 5 or so bucks for handling fee. I then found it here at thatpetplace.com:
http://www.thatpetplace.com/kevin-82-small-animal-cage
For 119 with free shipping. I contacted Petstore.com about my order as they have a "Low Price Guarantee" though they mean that it's before purchasing the product and yet they STILL matched the price after the fact for me and are refunding me the 20 dollar difference (meaning no handling fee either).
I can't say enough good things about Petstore.com - it's where I order a great deal of my hammy supplies. They have great prices usually. But matching a price even a day after the fact is really cool of them.
So you can order the Kevin 82 right now as of 10/16/2012 from both petstore.com and thatpetplace.com for $119 /free shipping. If you go Petstore.com route just contact them first via email or phone and ask for them to match thatpetplace.com price. They do a quick check of the link you provide (they are actually familiar with that site as it's competition lol) and voila!
Friendly people to work with too.
I just scored that cage for 20 bucks less than it usually goes!

Yes, please do edit it, Hamtastic. It's too old for me to do now

Re: ***Cages in the USA***
Does anyone have the 36x18X18 ("Large - Wide") version of this?
Pricey, but neat!
I asked Vectis Hamstery for opinions about it a while back, and have meant to keep an eye on eBay for one since.
