Re: ***Cages in the USA***
Sorry the EBay purchases did not work out! Although even domestic shipping gets damaged if not packaged properly. I ordered a silent spinner a couple weeks ago- no packing material and the outer drum (colored part) was completely cracked from front to back.

I can't believe this!.. I paid over $600 US dollars, for the cages on Ebay, when I contacted the seller, first and asked them specifically if they ship to the US, as their listings state they ship to America's, I assumed that meant, the USA... I got an reply back, yesterday, from their customer service stating, yes, they do ship to the USA, and they would "combine" shipping since I wanted to buy more than 1 cage.. Well, I get another email (through Ebay) thank goodness, all communications with this company has been through Ebay email, they said, sure, go ahead an buy what I wanted, and they would combine the shipping.. well, I was so excited, that I decided to buy (4) cages, since, I wasn't sure if I'd have another opportunity to buy these specific cages, again.. well, I check on my Ebay order, late or shall I say, early this morning, and have another email from this company, now telling me, No, they will not ship the 4 cages, to the USA, due to unreliable shipping carrier.. well, why in the world do they advertise they ship to the US, then confirm, via email they ship to the US, and will combine shipping, to then not even 24 hrs. after they get my payment, tell me, they will not ship..? So, I contacted Ebay just now, and was told I have to wait 7 days, then I can dispute the payments through my paypal account.. I'm not sure, if this is the seller you had mentioned on your comment regards to Ebay selling the Metro's and ZZ2's.. here's the name of the seller.. just an FYI, so others don't go through what Im going through.. eq.performance (26410 )
99.8% Positive feedback- that's their feedback rating, so figured, they where a good seller, which they maybe for many buyers.. That was part of our income tax refund, that I had, to pay for the cages- (my hubby is not a happy camper).. well, he was not happy that I was wanting to buy the cages, due to the expense.. LOL.. now, no cages, and have to wait for the money to be refunded= not a happy hubby.. eeks!. LOL I will have to wait until I get my money back, in order to buy cages for my hams.. but that's okay, they are okay for now.. I'm more concerned for my big baby girl, Syrian hammy.. she's growing so fast, and want her to be as comfortable as possible in her habitate.. I have time, tho.. Just so frustrating.. and disappointing.. UGH!.. LOL

This is exactly why we decided to make our own bin cage.

Re: ***Cages in the USA***
Ok, so... both cages arrived. As feared, one was broken. One is in good shape. They were both packed poorly and as Panda warned, parts were loose. A big chunk of the corner of the base on one cage was broken off and instructions were missing from the box. But I'm happy I DO have one good setup! I called Amazon and asked for an advanced refund (instead of waiting til they receive it and process) and they said sure, no problem.
In any case, I LOVE this cage!! It is so huge! As stated in reviews, the accessories are useless, except you can try and make use of the tube like Panda did. The food dish looks more like a trough it's so big, and the water bottle ball seems too heavy for them to move with their tongue to get water out of (and it's too big). Of course it's daytime and Wicket is sleeping. He didn't even notice when I stripped his other cage of everything including the top and left him in the base with just his bedding. LOL! It was hilarious. As soon as I put him in the Goran, he groggily crawled behind the bridge and dozed off. Anyway, here it is:

thanks, Esmy..that's so sweet of you..... I believe things happen for a reason.. it just was not meant to be, and something else is meant to be.. .. Yes, damaged goods, can happen anywhere... shipments, domestic or from overseas.. packing is very important.. how some delivery couriers just "toss" and drop boxes, is awful.. thank goodness, I didn't buy the crystal glasses from Germany.. LOL.. (just kidding).. I still don't allow what could to what may not happen, when I find something I really, truly feel I can't live without.. hee hee

Re: ***Cages in the USA***
I really like it!! Remember though that floor space is more important than height. I'm guessing you mean like ferret cage with one other level? I want to put a hammock in their cages. I'm going to try and make one out of jeans.

Yes, I'm looking for as much "floor space".. height, I'm not really concerned about... it would be great if an makeshift second level could be DIY'd or even I notice there's already an half second floor/ledge that comes with the Goran..
Oh, the hammock.. I was also thinking of buying or making- the question I was going to post, is the material.. is there material to stay away from, due to Hams, love to chew.. I'd be concerned the ham would eat the material, or threading and get sick, or worst case, end up with it trapped in it's stomach.. I see hammocks in cages a lot.. and would love to have one too, just need more info. on materials, attachment.. ect..

Re: ***Cages in the USA***
I asked about this too, cause Penny will try and eat fleece and anything she can pull apart. A lady on the HC said denim might be good. She also showed me a link to someone on Etsy who makes really durable quilted hammocks. I bought some grommets and it can be connected with paper lips for adjustable height. I'm sure there are other ways too. I looked at videos on Youtube.
