that's a bit mean isn't it. i hate it when people do that. oooh, lets cash in on other people's desperation. like all the charging the earth on new year's eve 1999.

I must admit I thought it was a bit mean too, I wouldn't have bought one after they put the price up for anything (easy for me to say as I've got my Gabbers already). I've always found TPC to be really decent people who try to save you money (by offering combined postage etc) so I was surprised. I guess everyone has their price.

to be honest it makes me feel like hoping the last 2 don't sell, just to serve them right for their greed.

Rather mean of spirit, Bunsey - I'd be a little disappointed if you did, genuinely, feel that way.

Of course, we're all making assumptions - we have no idea how much it has cost them to obtain the cages, or how much of that they're needing to pass on to us.

In any case, it would seem there are alternatives available. The joy of the internet - there are always alternatives

i suppose it could've cost them more to get them, but it just seems like cashing in on people's misfortune. Like if there were people dying in the desert and i drove out there charging £5 for a bottle or water. that's how i saw it anyway.

I suspect there are people out in the desert, being charged for their water... such is the world we live in

Would suggest contacting them directly, regarding the prices -I'm hesitant to criticise them, as they have shown willing to sell under the RRP in the past - though I know it has been something of an ordeal to bring the last Gabbers through.

I'm afraid I agree with Bunsey, Gus - we were talking about their price hike at the show today and Bunsey certainly isn't the only one who feels like that about cashing in on people's desperation.

I know profiteering happens the world over - but that don't make it right. I found it a little disappointing.
