Default Zoozone 1 - Bar Spacing??

Has anyone got a Zoozone 1?

If you have. please could you measure the bar spacing for me?

I can't find any in the shops to have a look at, and none of the shops are replying to my emails

Because it's supposed to be a rabbit/piggie cage, i'd think that the bar spacing would be 1"..

It is too wide for a hamster however many people do use these and simply attach a mesh to the bars to stop a hamster squeezing through. The make great, spacious cages.

Its the mesh that I was trying to avoid

I think I will have to resign myself to getting one of these, and getting my OH to have a bash at hamsterifying it for me.

Don't mention it on Saturday though anyone .... he is still getting used to the idea of us getting Cupcake on Saturday...I think the idea that I am planning on even more hamsters may push him over the edge..

He works at night, so has just gone for his sleep, his last words to me were 'don't order any more hamsters while i'm asleep!' Men!

and as if I would......

Big D is the same Louby or else we would have a house full! Trouble is sometimes I know he is actually right as we do want them all to have their time and attention and so we must be restrained. They are ll just SOOOOOOOO cute though it is just toooooooo tempting.

Exactly, i'm the same, and I only want them if I can give them the time, attention and love that they all deserve. My little hairy babies......

Thing is, at the moment, we have Alvin, Cupcake (coming on Saturday) and a Satin hopefully coming at the end of May. (shhh...I think James thinks that Cupcake is 'instead' of the Satin rather than in addition to )

I don't think 3 is too many. Mind you, we (well, more I if i'm honest) are thinking of breeding Alvin and one of the new ladies later on, and who is to say that I will be able to part with any of them?

I think thats why James is trying to keep my new purchases under control, he can see us ending up with 15 babies, none of whom we can part with!

Hamstery here we come!!!

Hamsters are very addictive.
I started with one 18 months ago and I now have 12 plus 2 litters of which I will probably keep another 6.

I'm not sure what the bar spacing is - on Charlie's zoozone is looks to be about 1" (but I havn't measured). Charlie (syrian) is in a zoozone two and he loves it! It's a fantastic size. It does need mesh over the bars on the top though.
