Good news and Bad News - Gabber Rex's
Well, never one to be beaten, I have trawled the internet trying to find these little monkeys.
I have found out that they are supplied by a company called Wildberry Pet Products Ltd, and are now known as Rex Cages.
I have just called them, and they have confirmed that the cages have been discontinued
I asked if they were being replaced with a similar cage, and she said that she would email me a photo of the next best thing. As soon as I get it, I will post it here.
I have found a few places that supposedly stock the 'Rex' Cage, and am waiting to hear back. As I type, I have just received an email from one place, saying that they are expecting stock of the Green based ones next Wednesday. They are £40.95 plus P&P though.
As soon as I hear anymore, i'll let you know!!!

Wildberry don't actually make them and there are other suppliers, Louby - one of whom, apparently, has the possibility of getting forty more of them. I do think it seems inevitable that they are being discontinued as you say though.
They are made by a company called (oddly enough!) Gabber who are based in Italy, their website has recently gone down and the cages appear to have had a name change - to "Montagna"
I have an address and telephone number for them (on the box) but have been put off contacting them because I don't speak Italian. I do, however, have an italian work colleague - wonder if it would be worth drafting out a letter (in Italian) with all our names on asking them not to discontinue it?

I'll see if she's in today then (I'm off to work in half an hour). If anyone wants to be included add your name and rough location here or, if you prefer, PM myself or Louby
It's got to be worth a try - wonder if any of the other forums would be interested in trying this as well - the more the merrier!

Found this website....
http://www.vital-group.co.uk/products/i ... &code=8093
If you click on retailers, you can local places that 'should' stock them.
I have just found one near me with one left!!!! Yippee!!!!!! When I go and collect, i'll ask if she can get anymore in. It is £34, so i'm happy with that and no P&P!!!

Chhers for that - I've found a stockist too - they have ordered already (someone else ? Teresa?! has emailed them) and they've been told the supplier (Vital) has 20 left and they are coming in next week. I've ordered 2 for now (for my friends wanting them for my babies), I'll have to go and pick them up next week so if anyone else wants one let me know and I'll ask for more.
I think they are going to be £40.95 but beggars can't be choosers!

Julie, if you don't mind, I may have to ask you to order two for me? (I can transfer you the money). I'm just waiting to hear back from 2 of the London shops via email but the other two who I've managed to contact by phone don't stock them. Aargh!! I'm also waiting to hear back from the Pet Corner but their silence doesn't bode well.

The lady from Wildberry Products has emailed me a picture of a Peter Pan Cage.
It doesn't look very big though, and i'm not sure that it will make a good Gabber Rex substitute.
I can't seem to get the photo off of the email, but if anyone is interested in seeing it, I will happily forward on the email if you pm me your email address.
Looks like we still have to petition Gabber after all!

I have also just emailed Hagen, the manufacturer of Zoozone cages, asking if they would consider producing them with smaller bar spacing...
We can but try!!!
