Default Your favourite dust-free bedding/substrate?

My newest rescue (syrian) has a damaged eye and conjunctivitis. I can't use anything in the cage that will irritate her eye so have been using megazorb for the substrate but I'd like opinions on the best dust-free substrate. I got some carefresh but that turned out to be pretty dusty so I didn't use it.

Snowflake/hemcore/megazorb?

I found another one called Bedmax Horse Bedding which claims to be dust free but it looks as if the shavings might be too big for a hamster.

What's your favourite?

Aubiose There's also Finacard/Green Mile/Ecobed you might want to look in to (all dust extracted shredded cardboard substrates).

I use megazorb for my guinea pigs who had lung scaring from resp issues and that worked well for us. I also use it for my hamster now.

I like aubiose but for dust free I'd go for Finacard. Cardboard is the least likely to have any dust at all really.

I agree about the cardboard beddings being dust free. Mainly because they are cut up pieces of cardboard! I use hemp (Aubiose & Siccofloor hemp) because I gave up using wood shavings a while back. You might still get some fine packing dust with hemp but nothing like what you would get with wood shavings. I just give my hemp a good old shake around when I remove it from the sack and leave what I need in open storage bins rather than take it straight from the sack.
