Default Which bed is best for my hammies??

Our two girlies Nolah and Kolah are still living together

The other day, I was having a switch around with the bits in their cage and I decided it was time to have some new bedding. I put a handful of new shredded paper bedding into their plastic house (I only use the bottom as when it does have the lid it seems to have too little ventilation)
Once I had put the clean bedding in I left them too it. They usually take their new bedding into their home-made house (cardboard box) and nest there together, but this time, they decided that they would nest in the bottom of the house where the new bedding was.

So, my question is;

Is it normal for hammies to suddenly change where they sleep?? Where do your hammies currently sleep??

Luna has switched countless times. She's spent the most time in a massive open nest in the back corner of her cage though. But she's slept in a wooden house, penthouse, tubes, two different plastic huts, cardboard box, in an open nest in the back left hand corner, another one in the right hand corner and she's also slept in her toilet.

It's normal for them to change their nesting places

Ours have all changed beds a few times.

At the moment...
Scamp - Kidney unit, we moved it into her hutch entirely as a bedroom
Fwirl - Top back left corner in an open nest type thing
Skip - Not sure. Either buried completely under his substrate or in/under either his Tammo or ramp-type Alexander house. He changes bed once every week or two.
Whizz - In/under her Tammo house (never worked out which)
Muffin - In his terracotta tealight holder
Dusty and Scruff - In their burrow-nest at the end of their rat tube
Timmy and Bump - In their burrow-nest between their puzzle playground and their back wheel

My hams have always slept in their wooden houses, although Bella did sleep under her ladder when it was really hot

Hamburglar's a good boy and uses the house I got for him, in the place I put it, and has never moved haha. Badger on the other hand moved where I put the tissues for the open nest, and now he seems to have TWO beds! it's not even that he's moved beds; I've seen him sleeping in both. weirdo.
