ZZ2 Water Bottle Hole

First off sorry if anyone has posted about this before. Basically the water hole that comes with the ZZ2... is driving me mad, the bottle I use leaves a tiny gap at the top from the spout of the bottle. Wolvies started chewing at it, he hasn't actually caused any damage, broke any bits off etc etc. Its just the noise that drives me mad as I have trouble sleeping atm & have no where else to put him. He has never been a mad chewer, he's just obsessed at night with sticking his lil nose out the hole & then having a little nibble!
I'm worried one day he will eventually break out! He never use to be bothered cause he was a wheel manic, but now hes grown up & not interested. in it... its much more fun trying to escape lol!

Is there anything I can do to block it up? Is there a specific bottle for the zz2? Mine never came with one >.<

Well, Im am a newbie and know nothing about how to give a good life to hamsters.

but my Hammy was an aggressive bar chewer and It was driving me crazy. A breeder told me to give Him yeast as it will make him relaxed. After adding yeast to his diet (one portion every 2 days) the problem get solved. well, Maybe It can help you.

But please please let others tell you what to do too. because As I said I am only a newbie and I know nothing

Have you tried putting lemon juice on that part of the hole or any of the suggestions that others have made to prevent bar chewing? We have a ZZ2 and we use the water bottle from the ZZ2. Angel doesn't tend to attack any weaknesses there! Sorry I can't be of more help but I'm sure someone here can help. Best of luck!

The easiest thing to do would be to switch to a water bowl and stick something over the hole with sticky-backed Velcro or double sided tape. I use an old credit card or a wooden chew toy. If you need something stronger you can put a bolt through it with a metal washer covering the hole.

I forgot to say, you can push some walnut butter to the hole, so your hamster will Lick it and he/she will enjoy drinking water.

The fact that he used to love his wheel and now doesn't suggests to me the wheel is too small, so he doesn't use it and is chewing from boredom, although I can't really tell from the picture. What's the diameter on it?

Other than that, I don't have suggestions, sorry!

That's exactly what I done when Riley was in his Duna Multy and started biting the water bottle hole. It does fit perfectly like you said and gave him something else to chew

They'll drink the water they need without food motivation. That could just make them drink too much and harm their kidneys (happens when hamsters chew the water bottle spout) or if the peanut butter dries it could block the water bottle so they cannot get any water. Not a good idea.

That's an awesome idea will defo have to look into purchasing one when I'm next at P@H.
