My 10 week old Syrian Teddy loves his, he digs and cleans himself but uses his litter tray to wee in. Maybe it's an individual thing to hamsters and what they use it for.

I was wondering how deep the sand bath needs to be for a syrian? I haven't got my hamster yet as I want everything to be sorted before he/she arrives. I have had a hamster before but I am ashamed to say, we never even knew about sand baths then.

Mylo's potty only has about 2cm in it as all he does is wee in it. It get sieved every few days. However, his deeper dish has a few inches in as he likes to dig around in it

There might be a bit more in each bowl as i'm sort of guessing lol
