Default It will be all change cage wise tonight for our lot!

Have noticed Desi had developed what looked like a patch of white fur on his nose over the last few weeks, last night I noticed it was bigger and finally got a good look at him, and it is not white fur at all but he has rubbed all the fur off his nose!

He is a terrible bar biter and I have been checking his mouth and missing what he was doing else where as it looked like paler fur.

At the moment we have

Desi in a HH
Kretchers in a HH
Bonaparte in a Gabber
Baron VM in a smaller ferplast wire cage
Algy in a Cambridge (as he seemed frustrated in his tank)

So tonight I am thinking of

Algy in the Gabber (he clearly still does not settle in wire cages)
Desi in the other tank cage (larger than Gabber)
Bonaparte in the HH
Baron VM in the Cambridge.

Have gone and bought yet more chews and houses.

Bonaparte has moved all his bedding out of underneath the shelf of the gabber and built a nest out in the open with half of it stuffed in the wodent wheel, which he then moves when he wants to use it, or bless him he spends alot of his time stood on the shelf leaning on the wodent wheel and running on the outside of it using his front paws. I want to get a photo of this as its hard to describe what he's doing.

He is a very unique hamster!

I think that's a good idea Catja, and our Desi needs a good telling off for being so ungrateful as to chew his lovely HH!

I'm sure they will all settle into their new cages well, and hope Desi's fur grows back soon - I know Grey-ham's did very quickly Someone recommended to me today sprinkling some debittered brewers yeast on food to help fur re-growth so it may be worth trying that. I already had some from Holland & Barrett so I am hoping it helps dubakus fur growth too. But you may want to try this?

Bonaparte sounds like a man who knows his own mind! It is so cute how they make their beds in the most bizarre of places isnt it?

It is Algy is the only one that has religiously stuck to his little plastic house and never deviated

Bless Mummy's little treasure Algy! My Manny loved his house so much he hardly ever came out. We changed him from wire cage to a Gabber last week and he has been loving the change, and we have seen him more than we ever have before!

I can only assume he didnt like his previous cage, so stayed in his house, and now, he loves his new space (maybe though he is coming out so much to try getting back to his old cage )
