What size of wheel?
Fawkes has a rolly wheel in his cage, i always thought it was a good wheel, even though loads of people would disagree with me, when Pumba used it there was barely a sound (i used vasaline to stop the squeak). But Fawkes makes the biggest racket on it! i mean at 3 o'clock in the morning, every morning the whole house can hear it, upstairs and downstairs (not good when i have school the next morning lol). He runs on it that violently that he is pysically moving it around the cage. And he is only basically a baby syrian! It got that loud this morning and i was too tired to move the cage into the bathroom or something that i actually put on a pair of earmuffs and fell asleep with them on. Looking back at that now it's quite funny lol
But i really need a silent spinner. I'm just not sure of what size to get him? Like at the minute he is only a young syrian, but i want it to suit him when he's older too.
what size do you suggest i buy?
thanks and sorry for the long rant lol

Re: What size of wheel?
If its a silent spinner and he's a syrian then it'll have to be the 12" I'm afraid.
Other silent alternatives would be the "wodent wheel" series, in which case either the 8" or 11" would be fine for him, there'd just be a slight risk of him outgrowing the 8"
Our 12" silent spinner is usually pretty silent, but most tend to find the wodent wheels quieter.

Re: What size of wheel?
Our 12" SS is quiet but can get a speed wobble when she is going for it. It's a bit like a badly balanced car wheel which start to vibrate at a certain speed.
Does anyone else get this ?

Re: What size of wheel?
the karlie wonderland is a great wheel for being silent, thats the one i have for coco and you can only hear the patter of her feet, i had the wodent wheel but got sent it back as it was too noisy

Re: What size of wheel?
I find Wodent Wheels great, although I don't think any wheels are actually silent. Silent Spinners are fab, but the 12inch is massive, and doesn't fit in most cages sadly

Flying Saucers are silent - I've never heard of someone with a noisy one anyway. Luna loves hers Only FS suitable is the 12inch one, no chance of them growing out of them though!

Thats because you never heard about the nightmare we had with four out of seven 6.5" ones when we tried them lol. We had a choice between a rattly noisy wheel or one that stopped working on a daily basis. Was definetly a bad batch but it can and does happen once in a while unfortunately. Same goes for all wheels really though.
