Re: Time I Tell You :P
You'd need to get bigger than 80l I'm afraid. Theres an IKEA in Cardiff thats probably your closest, but you'd have to get a lift there.
Scamp's bin is two 80l boxes and I think her bin was about 32l but may be even smaller. Thats three boxes to make one cage because the base of our 80l boxes has about the same cubic cm as the mini duna floor does.

Is your mum against it because she would have to pay for it.Could you earn the money by doing odd jobs and pay for it yourself?

Re: Time I Tell You :P
It'd just about scrape to being the minimum size, but begging and pleading until you get a single big space would be much, much better for Bubbles.
Maybe offering to do chores endlessly, being the perfect kid e.t.c would get her to agree to the ZZ2? Or even give her a choice of a load of 80 by 50cm (or bigger) cages and see which she prefers?
I'd try every option for getting a single big cage before resorting to an 80l bin and the peggy metro really.

Re: Time I Tell You :P
Maybe point out that since she let you get the hamster shes partially responsible for it getting a big enough home? And that by the RSPCA minimum guidelines not giving it a suitable home is technically not living up to the basic idea of giving the animal the life it needs?
And so, she won't give in. In response you don't give in and see who caves first lol
Or maybe ask your Dad to take you to IKEA for the bigger box?

Re: Time I Tell You :P
Go for it! It'd be much better than connecting the peggy metro to the smaller bin
