It is sad that your mum won't let you have it, but as Sam said, whilst the extra bin is better than nothing its still not ideal.

Could you maybe just get a big enough bin, and make one huge bin cage? that would be neat and give bubbles the space he deserves?

I suppose i could get one in secret which should be big enough and then put loads of holes on the lid? I dont really want to extend it because i dont like the peggy metro alltogether tbh.

I'm sure theres a way to convince her. Did she agree once and then have you keep asking?

Er... I vote for either the giant storage box idea, or maybe go through the ideas everyone uses about getting a hamster, except try them about getting the hamster a bigger cage?
You could always make it clear that you saved for it, or even buy a big cage in a pet shop locally and mention that she only stopped you getting the ZZ2, not a bigger cage lol
Am sure there are ways around it, they just need to be found...

Or yeah! Giant bin, easy and cheap. Making loads of small holes shouldn't be too hard either

The only one that I know of thats 80cm by 50 is the IKEA SAMLA biggest bin.
We just carry a tape measure if we're out looking for cages/boxes e.t.c which makes our job much easier lol

The samla bin is even below 80x50 at the base, sloping sides. Your bin is also probably smaller than 40x37 or whatever, it's just shops frustrating ways of sizing. Look online for one which is a decent size, including height, and subtract a few cm from each measurement and see if it's still decent

Good point KatiePillow.

And er... As many as possible. Our 80l boxes are only about mini-duna sized at the base, so it'd have to be a fair bit more than that at the least.
