That video was definetly informative
I've seen the cage in person and it was much more useful than the minute or two noticing it in a pet shop one day. Looks like a better cage than I thought actually. (Not that I had an issue with it, just preferred other cages for our hamsters. Now it would be an option... If we didn't already have all the cages we'll need for ages lol)

Jack - I'm glad you seem to be sorted then I always get really excited about new cages for our lot too. Fortunately they won't need more now though lol

Hammie - Good All sorted then

JnR yup they are the bowls from the imacs, quite cool silver ones
Mine have small pet bowls from wilkinsons, blues for boys and pinks for girls, along with blue or purple flying saucers.
ild recomend a flying saucer to go in too, the 30cm take up about 1/2 a level, with a lil tape to keep it in the right spot or it taps the bars they are about £11 inc delivery on ebay

I got really excited getting these, and my barneys before, but i can get 2 of these to one barney, and when running a small hamstery soon to grow, i need to keep control of space XD

good luck and I hope your mum says yes

edited to add:
the tube can come out, and they climb up the bars to the top level, good fun exercise, and they jump down, having to judge it and balance is good for them too. its not to far for any harm, terry loves it soo much he dose it for fun! XD when you use a 2nd layer, just make sure the holes are not above eachother, or he could jump down and fall further then he wanted, so making it swap sides is safer

You could always remove the tubes and replace them with a wooden bendy bridge as a ramp, I have seen others with this cage do this sucessfully.

I have a red pennine food bowl and a mason cash ceramic water bowl, should I keep using a bowl for water or now go to a waterbottle, the reason he has a water bowl right now is because the water bottle kept falling off.

as long as it dosnt tip over a bowl is fine. I have used bottles before with this cage, normally I use a cable tie and a hair band so its elasticated to the side, but i now use bowls, as I had a problem with leaking, and not working bottles with a bad make.

I use empty baby food jars, washed out with the label removed XD
