Hi, I was just confirming that this is a really good cage! I know its expensive but I want the best for Sammy. I am trying to get all my hammys within the RSPCA size minimum (Gabber rex for dwarfies)!

It's an excellent cage from a size and design perspective - brilliant in fact. My one reservation would be the large amount of bars it has - I'm having a problem with bar chewing with two of my girls in their Imacs and I'll soon be moving them into our spare Gabber Rexes - the hamster heaven has a lot of bars!

I have the Hamster Heaven (Holly has already directed you to the link I think)

My hamster Kretchmer seems to really like it and I just feel the space it gives is excellent, the huge front opening means getting to anywhere in the cage is really easy. I would really like another one for my even bigger hamster Desi but they are expensive.

I have done a lot of internet surfing but can't find them cheaper anywhere than Pets@Home.

However as Holly says it is dependent on how you feel about bar chewing. Kretchers will chew the bars of any cage she is in but hates being in a tank cage, so we just let her get on with it but monitor her for any sign of distress
