So... My megazorb arrived
... and I had to go sign for it when I've just got out of the shower. The most attractive moment of my life.
Well, all my family are here and they're all having a huge rant at me how I shouldn't have got it because it's HUGE!
But whatever, it's for my hamster, I was told to look after it if I was getting one and I try to and I get told off!
Whee...
/rant
Where do megazorb owners suggest I keep it so that it doesnt go damp?

Re: So... My megazorb arrived
I keep mine in my airing cupboard... but if you're living at home I'd imagine yours might be quite full already!
Can you break it down into smaller bags for storage, maybe put it in plastic storage boxes that can be stacked in a cupboard/shed/garage corner?

Re: So... My megazorb arrived
The bags are huge! I just picked one up for my hamsters. I am so glad I took the car to the shop! I am going to store mine in a big bin (like the bin cages types) with the cage on top
Dust extracted shavings make my chest bad so I dont think they have been well extracted or there is a chemical in it thats not agreeing with me ... must be something nasty because I work with chemicals every day at work ones that could potentially kill me and they dont cause as many problems as these ...

i keep mine in my wardrobe, i love megazorb the only problem is it dosn't agree with long haired hamsters andi have to pick it out of his fur everyday. i was lucky aswell i just discovered a farm shop near me that sells it for £8 a bag a bargin compared to £12 it used to cost to get deliverd.

Re: So... My megazorb arrived
I put mine in the bottom of my wardrobe its out of sight out of the way and if I put it on my shirts hanging side it doesnt interfere with my clothes much.

You should see my basement storage--it's got 5 60L bags of Carefresh stacked on a shelf Feels good though, every time I see it!

Woah, that's a lot of Megazorb! Or a lot of burrowing
How long does one bag last?

Re: So... My megazorb arrived
lol you should see our hamster storage... When I get it arranged as I want I'll upload a pic, then you can show your family and I'd be willing to bet they accept the megazorb isn't as bad as they thought in the end
We don't use megazorb (considered switching but we're really not sure) but we buy the woodshavings about 11.5kg at a time, and we just found a spare spot in our room and shoved it between the bed and the shelves I plan to use for hamster stuff as soon as I get around to it. Its where whatever we do switch to will live too (and megazorb is a possibility).
