Oh dear - that's me
I hadn't thought of it like that but you are right, poor Harry wouldn't stand a chance, the hams would be too quick pouching me

Everyone thinks I am mad at Queenswood cos I keep turning up at the check out with more stuff.
I have loads of cages of different sizes but I can't resist, think I've developed a cage fetish and I only have 2 hamsters
Agree Basia - think you should have another litter - or my new cages will have to stay empty
Certainly it says it is a ferplast cage by the way but mine has plastic solid shelving. The one left has tubes to go inside and a grid style shelf

Well I got it - thanks for the tip Catja, I haven't been to Queenswood for ages.
It is a Ferplast Rainbow but with plastic top as opposed to wire. I have taken a photo, will upload it later. It does have a large wire floor but I will take that out. It also has a whole Ferplast Space Station, 2 bowls a huge bunny size bottle and tiny wheel, of course. All for £20. I am very pleased, now have to decide which lucky hamster is going to move house.
I also got a Savic Peggy for £15 from Wyevale. All their cages are half the original. Rody's are £14 but I already have a couple of those going spare, thought the Peggy would make a nice change. Now have 6 emergency cages for future babies.

Excellent - glad you got it. I went there a couple of days ago and they had none and then suddenly yesterday they appeared, obviously given the thickness of dust they must have had a clear out.
Not sure what my cage is, a Ferplast something, it is the same size as yours but with a different interior.

What a great bargain, looks like a fantastic cage
You've set me thinking now - wonder if any of the garden centres near here have hammy cages - and a January sale?!!

It is always worth looking both our local garden centres have pet sections and they seem to want to clear them out at the moment.
I thought about going to Pengelly garden centre but that would be taking my cage obsession too far!

I've just fnished cleaning it, it is absolutely huge, the same size as a gabber rex but taller. The base is twice as deep as the gabber because it is supposed to have a second floor but it was wire so I took it out.
Its worth a look Holly, Wyevale had rodys and savic peggy's half price too.
