Wanted!

I am after a cheap Gabber Rex or Savic Rody for either pick up in Gloucestershire/Monmouthshire or one to have posted as I may have some rescue Robo's coming in a couple weeks.

Did you ever get a Rex, Leanne? If not and you still need one I have a spare spare (if you know what I mean - I just want to keep one spare Rex as a possible future breeding cage and I have two). The one I'm happy to part with is second hand from ebay, it's in great condition and very clean but was used for mice so the previous owners sealed up the two holes in the lid (ideal for Robos).

Unfortunately I'm nowhere near you so it would need to be posted (not cheap) unless you know anyone going to Bradford? I could give it to them if you can wait that long

Leanne - I've been trying to email these pics to you but am having a problem attaching them to the email so here they are:

As I said it's very clean with no urine staining and, amazingly, no gnawing to the cage at all - even the bars are better than I remember them with only a couple of tiny gnaw marks. I didn't realise it was so nice and, after mucking about in the garage finding it, I found that I actually have three spare Rex cages

After cleaning out 11 cages this morning the virtues of the Rex are becoming more apparent to me again - I just need to rearrange my shelves and I think I'll start using one of them again (the other I'm keeping as a breeding cage).

Anyway hope you like the look of it

Well if Leanne doesn't want/need it and you still want to get rid, let me know Julie. I need another Gabber soon for when I split the two girls. We've got plenty of cages of course, but Im still trying to do the gradual replacement to all Gabbers (made harder by the fact that I keep increasing my hamster population!

I think she does, Teresa, sorry - I've arranged to take it to Highworth (along with the wodents she wants also), I just couldn't seem to get my email to attach the pictures

I can see why you are getting another Rex though - just cleaned out another two cages and I spent the whole time wishing they were Rex's

Yes I know what you mean (and no problem - just thought Id mention)
I FINALLY got some Aubiose today!(3 hr round trip to near Leeds to get one bale - but hey my hams are worth it! lol)

so we can finally get rid of the wood chips in the LH cages and give this a try. If we like it at least we can do the trip and buy a few bales for storing next time!

Hurrah! I'm sure you will love it. When I went for some last week my usual place didn't have any and I've had to get Hemcore instead. Now I've read not such good things about this so we'll see
