Sale display boxes
I'm looking for some of the little clear plastic boxes with coloured slatted lids which people use at shows to display individual hamsters for sale (there is also a similar cage that is larger which is used for multiple hamsters). Any idea what they are called? All my web searches for 'hamster carrier' etc are only bringing up Rotastak and the Ferplast (and copies) bubble carriers - the sort I am thinking of is much more 'retro' in styling than those and resembles a mini fishtank.

Re: Sale display boxes
You could try looking for insect boxes for reptiles. They're similar.

Re: Sale display boxes
wilko sell larger plastic boxes like that £5.99 each, thats abit less then most other shops, you can always try ebay and gumtree for 2nd hand ones.
Wilko Fish Tank/Vivarium 10ltr | Aquariums | | Domestic Bird & Fish from Wilkinson Plus
they are kind of middle sized, and have all sorts of coloured lids, you only have the colours in store or whatever is random online.
normall prices vary, i know pah sell somethign similar in multiple sizes, but they are a clear blue and shaped, and not as nice i think.

They're teeny plastic tanks and have a yellow, red or blue lid right?
Does anything come up if you put 'hamster show display case'

Re: Sale display boxes
They used to be called Hagens but I think Hagen have stopped making these. You can get something similar in a few places like tesco but for travel and sales we now use the plastic boxes with a clip lid and a handle from Poundland. They are a similar size. You need to put air holes in them but it is easy with a soldering iron and a bargain at £1.

Yes, that is them. The closest I had found until now is the Faunarium PT-2255 Faunarium Small Value Vivariums which is presumably the same thing made by a different company as the lids are all black (I'm guessing the 9 inch size is the usual one I see around, though maybe it could be the next one up?).
I like the poundland suggestion too, though.

Re: Sale display boxes
I think I know what you mean - they can be used as first-time aquariums too, right?
I remember I bought one from Argos years ago for £10, but every time I go to P@H I see them in the small pet section by the pet carriers. They've got different sizes. I think they're about £10 still.
