You had to put it all together? Where was that from, if you don't mind me asking?

I got mine from P@H and everything is fully assembled, even the lid is clipped on.

I got it from a local shop, it was only putting the clips in the slots and attaching the ramp to the shelf which caused the main problems :/

I have got so much use out of my Duna, it's been my single robo home, and actually all my robos have lived in it at some point which I like. It was Jam's home and Dasher lived with him for a little bit while he was healing from his attack. The Cloud lived in it minus the level as his retirement home and it was perfect for him. Whizzbit lives in it at the moment while all the breeding is going on as I'm keeping the ZZ my boys live in together for them to go back in together.

This is Whizz's set up, his nest is underneath the platform. He loves zooming up the ramp, and jumping down on the climbing frame on to his spinner. Can you spot him camping?

Ah Poms, Whizz looks as gorgeous as ever! I LOVE his little tent so much, did you buy it or make it? (It has that sweet homemade look to it )
I got to have a good look at one of the mini dunas yesterday when Ellie brought Robin (WW) round in his one. Whilst Rob was out I put Thistle in to see what she thought of it and she seemed to enjoy the shelf, she likes to be up high. It looks like I will be able to fit a deccent amount of toys in there too and maybe she will get back to her old self. This time next year though she should be in her wooden one anyway so its not going to be a perminent arrangement. Poor Thistle though, she has been back and forth between cages her whole life, I just cant seem to find anything suited to her.

I didn't make it, but it is homemade. At the hamster shows there is often a stall with little tents, nests, hammocks ect. The Cloud had one of the little nests in his final couple of weeks which he loved, and Dasher and Whizz both love camping in their tent

I like the duna though i do find it too small for the amount toys i would like to put in also my wheel is attatched to the tray which rattles so i would suggest getting a saucer or another free standing wheel I will be getting a new wheel at some point

I loved the Mini Duna when Peaches was tiny, and she loved to nest under the platform. Even the wheel was fine for the first few weeks, but after that I found it quite easy to disconnect. The next wheel I got was a Savic Rolly which was ok but sooo squeaky!! I now have a junior Wodent Wheel and would happily use it in the Mini Duna for another baby Syrian. It's just right and not so huge as to overwhelm the little one

I understand. Rosie is such a little lazy hamster. She grew up in a small cage - the minimum size for a Dwarf, that is - with the idea of buying a bigger one with my birthday money. I put her in the big cage for a week but even at night she didn't use it to its fullest. So that's when I bought Teddy and put him in the cage, haha.

Thumbs up Re: Mini Duna - Your experiences

I have the Mini Duna for my Robo Squeak. We took the shelf out because then we could fill the whole of the base with toys XD
She loves the cage, it's a perfect size for 1 dwarf (small like a robo) but maybe not 2 :S
She really enjoys it because shes tiny compared to her sister, (They're seperated!).
I also replaced the wheel and food bowl (Of course, I think everyone does haha!)
