Savic Cambridge
I won a brand new Savic Cambridge on ebay this afternoon - for the princely sum of a fiver!!!!
Does anyone who knows this cage know if it would be large enough to fit the medium sized wodent wheel? I'm just thinking if we ever have a long-haired male....as the Rex probably isn't tall enough for the next size wodent.
Or would the hypothetical hammy be ok with a Junior?

Red is a big hamster and she has loads of room on the junior. Great bargain Holly.

If you are wanting a long haired male for showing, Holly, he would probably be best without a wheel. I have to trim Chunky quite regularly because his coat gets tangled up in everything....
I can fit the junior wodent wheel into the Cambridges either on the shelf or under it but I am not sure how much bigger the next size wheel is. It would probably fit if you left one of the shelves out though.
Well done - that was a bargain, Chunky's Cambridge cost me £38!

I'm picking it up on Friday - I'm really pleased to have won it - especially as it's new!
I'm not sure that we *will* ever have a LH male but I was thinking just in case. When I see how much ours love their wheels I wouldn't want to deprive a hamster of a wheel, I don't think. I have read that, if you give LH males a large enough wheel, the hair doesn't catch in the spindle so I'd be keen to try a larger wodent.
I guess I'll measure it when it comes and see if I could make one fit if I ever need to.

The Cambridge is really amazing - it's HUGE! It's almost the size of the Rex but with the two levels there's even more floor space and it just seems really good quality and well made.
I guess I'll have fun in the coming weeks deciding who's going to live in it

Another Cambridge fan. I think they are great cages, as are the Gabber Rex's.
