Default The Bin Cage ^^

Today I went and bought a 85L/95quart plastic storage container (which was the biggest size in the store) By the time I was walking home the part where my hamster would live seemed to look very small. I got the idea to flip the container over so that the top was the bottom (the top or lid was much larger) and the bottom become the top.

This is same bin I have, only that my clips are blue and the top is clear.
Rubbermaid Roughneck 23-3/4 Gallon Tote - FG3R4300TSBBM at The Home Depot

I cut off the bottom (now the top of the bin) and left it like that. I will be making a grid top with a little door way tomorrow as I don't have any energy left in me today xD
(sorry for the rubbish camera quality I'm using webcam and I need to ask for my camera back from my dad)

hey hismajestyk your bin cage looks fab!that's a good idea to turn it upside down because most bins are bigger at the top!i cant wait to see the new lid too, sounds great did you make it all on your own or did you have help?how did you cut the bottom of the bin?

Aha yes If you see the white part on the wheel it has a long narrow stick thing attached. You slide that through into the tubular part in the wheel. (You can see in the pictures.) So I cut out a little hole so that when I put the white part in the wheel it secures it into place

Thank you and yes they are! I'm excited as well
I made everything on my own, although it took some patience but I ended up with the first part done I used the edge of an old iron, but I would suggest to use a glue-gun or anything hot enough to melt the plastic. The downside using the iron was you have to scrape the dried plastic off later.

Here are some clearer pictures
Don't mind the rough looking edges where it was cut, it'll be sanded/scraped off.

That looks lovely! Never seen it done that way before, with the bin upside-down, but it looks amazing.
