No Bars...But...
I've got a rule.
No wire cages. Not because of the cats as they aren't allowed in the my room room. Just because I don't like risking bar chewing. BUT
BUT
BUT
*points excitedly at Gumtree* There's a Criteci 15 on Gumtree FOR A TENNER. WITH STUFF TOO. I've been racking my brain around this. No wire cages but...Can I really pass on this opportunity? Tobi needs to be out of her bin cage and this would save me 50 quid on a ZZ2. I'll smack myself if I don't get it but...
What're your thoughts on the cage? Is it good enough it's worth the risk of chewing? And it's a tenner!

Re: No Bars...But...
Its a fantastic cage, Fudge loves his
People say they can chew out of the plastic on the lid, but Fudge is a chewer, and has never tried, or would be able too, its durable
can fit lots of toys in and its just fantastic imo
and the door is great

Re: No Bars...But...
I'd say go for it! So far I've had one bar chewer (Snickers) and one non-chewer (Cooper) so I'd risk it. Even Snickers didn't injure herself and she was one serious chewer! I'd just be wary if Tobi did chew though as I've heard many cases of hamsters chewing the plastic bit near the bars.

Re: No Bars...But...
Well... it's just a tenner... in the long run it might be an awesome buy, and if she does chew, then you can sell it on - but keep the toys ^_^
Not a difficult choice REALLY, is it LRP?

I am easily swayed by people!!!
I will have my bin cage spare....! I never thought of that. DAMMIT. It'll go with the Mini Dunas. Out of sight, out of mind.

Re: No Bars...But...
its a lovely cage; Poppers did have a short bar-chewing phase but not the sides, just the lid; he can't now cos he cant reach it unless he monkey-bars, and i think he's too lazy! i got a stand for mine, on castors, so great to move around for cleaning, and can keep storage boxes underneath go on, you know you want to...
