Not much choice :/
Honeydo has started chewing the broken bars and im worried its dangerous and looks like she is going to escape sometime soon. Im leaving it for tonight as ive managed to hold it up until tomorrow. I have no choice but to go to P@H tomorrow and buy a mini duna for £25. I didnt really want it to result to this but i cant wait for delivery etc now as im hardly in and i dont have the money for a £50 cage. There are no good pet stores in Lancs so yeh a mini duna it is. The only plus side is i can use it as a back up for the robos after Honeydo is out of it. I have a few questions
Please understand this will just be until around September/October time as i will then have the money to get her a zoozone 2. My dad is paying for this as i need to get it tomorrow. And im not allowed to make a bin cage as i dont have time
1. Can you fit an 8" wheel in the mini duna?
2. Can you remove the wheel?

Re: Not much choice :/
You can remove the wheel and if you bury the base in substrate you can fit a 8" wheel. Sorry to hear about the inconvinience!

Its a nightmare! I hate the mini duna for a syrian but no where in Preston sells cheap ok sized hamster cages on short notice. I feel so mean

Oscar used to have a Jr WW in the Duna when he was in it. Yup, the wheel and plastic bit it attaches to are both removable.

Re: Not much choice :/
The wheel is completely removable. Pie has an 8" JWW in his Mini Duna; you need to be a bit mean with the substrate underneath it, but it will fit.
Sounds like Honeydo's quite the chewer, I've never heard of a ham managing to break the bars before!

Re: Not much choice :/
They were previously chewed by Nibbles aswell so they both must like chewing, Nibbles has stopped chewing now though since he has moved into the zz 2, hopefully Honeydo will do the same

Sorry to hear about this hun and don't feel bad about moving her into mini Duna. She will be safe, thats the most important thing.
