Favorite toys for syrian hamsters
I was telling my mom how I needed a syrian...and out of the blue she said that she and my dad were thinking that I probably have a chance! It's like breaking open a steel door! I'm so excited :3
Anyway, I've been planning my cage (I'll attach a picture, it's mostly to scale, but I might be in AP math, but I hate it. A bunch :P) and I have some toys and that but I kind of want to add more toys to it.
What are your Syrian's favorite toys? They have to be available in the US (No shipping for this one!) or homemade

Re: Favorite toys for syrian hamsters
Anything wooden! I'm a great lover of natural toys, plastic not a favourite of mine. I find wooden tunnels go down really well aslong as there a decent size, many of the ones or hamsters are far too small for syrians. I've got a great guinea pig one.
I don't know if you can get the Trixie wooden shelves over there but there also great and well worth getting.

Oh no! That's such a shame, I feel so sorry for you american owners, it's really unfair you don't get a lot of the good stuff over there.

I know! I've been looking, but America is into cheap plastic crap. I might have to make my wood toys.

Re: Favorite toys for syrian hamsters
I find that arranging a cage is always based on the hamsters character and on your artistic flare at the time. My Sen's cage is very set out in it's optimum manner - not looking forward to trying to figure out a new layout! But she loves her suspension bridge/hammock/cargonet. And her Senior Wodent Wheel, and her digging area, and her sandbath.

Re: Favorite toys for syrian hamsters
I'm in the same boat as you MMTDF. Petsmart has a few wooden toys. I actually shop in the reptile isle on occasion to find houses and things.
