The Potty for the Botty
So, I was just wondering - for those who have toilet-trained or intend to toilet train their hams, what do you use for the potty, and what do you use for potty litter?
Potty
Is your potty homemade?
Do you have a savic or ferplast potty (longish - rounded) or a triangular potty? Are triangular ones better (less incidents of bottoms sticking out over the edge)?
Litter
Do you use koky or ferplast potty litter? It's getting expensive. Or do you use sand, or other types of litter?

It's more like 15Lx15Wx10H actually now that I think about it.

Re: The Potty for the Botty
I use an ice cream tub filled with dried play sand. There has been no incidents with this and as soon as I put it in the cage Ruby toilet trained herself

Re: The Potty for the Botty
Yeah sand works great for me too I have yet to find Wiggles using anything else as a pee corner... And I put it in a large circular metal rabbit bowl - it's really easy to clean if any pee gets on the side.

Re: The Potty for the Botty
Mine is play sand in a tupperware type bowl. It is big enough for her to put her body in it but not so huge that it takes up a lot of space. There are pictures of it on page 129 of Let's See Your Cages.
