Re: Clean outs
I always do a ful clean for my lot and they never seem bothered at all.
After a clean out they will go to the food bowl and fill up their pouches then go off to bed, they do that after every single clean out!

Re: Clean outs
Right now my cage is big enough that I only do partial changes anyways. before when I was using smaller cages I would try to keep at least a handful or two of their old bedding back for them. I's not as important for single hams, but it is recommended for multiple hams in order to help keep the 'group' scent in the cage.

Re: Clean outs
I do a full clean most of the time. It's a lot of bedding, but I prefer to know exactly how long each piece of bedding's been there (I keep feeling like if I leave some behind, it's going to stick around for many weeks inadvertently). Lucy doesn't seem too happy with it, but only for the first half an hour.
