Re: New wheel ?
Larger wheels that are open:
11.5" Karlie Wonderland wheel (needs coat of Plasti-Kote to seal the wood)
12" Silent Spinner
The only thing is neither of these will fit in an Imac Fantasy.

Re: New wheel ?
True for an 11" wheel you will need a bigger cage, or maybe you could add a bin cage extension to the imac?

All in all it seems like the best bet is just to keep his old wheel or change his cage which chances are he won't like oh well....

Re: New wheel ?
Are you sure it was the size aspect that he didn't like about the extra levels? Could it have been the way it was extended; his small top floor and the main floor he was familiar with being separated and changed? It might be worth trying him in a different larger cage, it may have been his extended Imac he didn't like, rather than larger cages generally.

That's actually a really good point ! The only thing is I don't really want to spend lots of money on a new cage if he ends up being unhappy erm....... I do have a spare duna multy that I could try him in ? To see how he gets on with single level living ? Sorry to be such a pain ! I might be worrying over nothing as he does still use his wheel just not as much as before.

Might be worth a try - if you do, give him lots of hidey holes and toys so he feels secure, thin card boxes a plenty, and as much of his current 'in use' substrate as you can salvage so it smells familiar. Only problem is if he gets comfy in the Duna Multy, it can't hold an 11" wheel which is something to keep in mind.
Don't worry, you're not a pain, you just want the best for Jaffa Cake.

Re: New wheel ?
I find about 36cm is the minimum; that's the height of the Zoozone 2, and on top of an inch of substrate the wheel fits with half an inch space above it, so it'd be quite tight if you went smaller than that.
