mosquito netting
I'm a bit worried about the summer because of the amount of flies we get. It's pretty gross and so bad because the flat below us has five dogs who (obviously) pee in the garden which would be fine if it was grass and not stones with a membrane underneath (the pee just sits under the stones...). The amount of flies is just awful and its one of the reasons I'm so looking forward to moving.
I cant leave the windows and doors closed in the bedroom (where Luna is) in the summer because it will get very, very hot and stuffy and I cant attach netting to the windows so I had an idea...
I could make a wooden frame thats slightly larger than Luna's cage, staple or glue mosquito netting to the frame and having the front panel loose so I can access the cage without lifting off the frame. Would this be OK or would there be too little ventilation?

Re: mosquito netting
I would think it would be alright for ventilation if its a bit away from the cage, but im not positive so yeah, this will bump it ;D

Re: mosquito netting
If there was a day when it was cooler I would take it off, it would only be for days where its really hot and I need the windows open. It would be the same stuff used for covering beds and things that people use when camping.

Re: mosquito netting
Im sure it will be fine as it will still let plenty of air through but keep the flies out, same as it would if you used it at the windows ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) xx
