Default Wodent Wheels

I'm a big fan of Wodent Wheels and I know that many other 'rodent people' recommend them as well - I also know that getting hold of them in the UK isn't terribly easy - one website states a 12 week wait for the Junior (8") size. They also aren't cheap - the Junior sells for anything between 8 and 12 quid which is a quite a bit more than any other large size wheel sells for.

Well, I recently ordered a couple of wheels (for our prospective new hammy/s) and some spare parts direct from the manufacturers in the US. Even with airmail postage from the US, the wheels work out a bit cheaper than buying them over here and you can also order exactly which colour you would like (important when you have more than one hammy and don't want to get mixed up when cleaning equipment). They arrived in 7 days.

When I spoke to my 'contact' there and told him I'm planning on taking a wheel to Lymm on Sunday to show people who haven't seen them before, he said that, if there is enough interest, he might be able to allow me to place an order with 'bulk' prices, making the wheels even cheaper. I'm not interested in making any money out of anyone so will happy to pass on this offer to anyone on this forum as well

I don't know what the bulk price is for an individual wheel yet but will post it here when I do know. Retail price is $9.99 - a little over a fiver at the current exchange rate so even if we don't get them any cheaper for a bulk order it's still competitive compared to the UK online shops - some of these charge a lot for postage as well. You will also have to pay a share of the postage cost - the more wheels ordered the less the postage for an individual wheel will cost. If anyone is interested let me know - you will be able to choose from a list of colours.

Iif you don't know what a Wodent Wheel is look here:

Our hammy's LOVE theirs - and they are very quiet (so long as you put a little vegetable oil on the washers when you clean the wheel) - I sleep with one in my bedroom and it never wakes me up - I actually really like the patter -of-feet noise it makes!

If nobody wants one then fair enough - but I just thought I'd share this as they are very cool IMO
