My big Syrian boy Inigo has been in a glass tank since xmas (when he chewed through his Duna Multy) and I def need to upgrade him and have an old Jenny rat cage I can use. Obviously it is much bigger but has some major flaws.
It has no shelving so is too high for him but the doors consist of 3 small ones on the front making it very difficult to put shelves up and still access the cage.
Any suggestions on how best to tackle the problem???
Hi, I have my hamsters in a freddy 2 rat cage with one door on the front. Thins is what I did for my hamsters.
This shelf is made from plywood covered with lino. I make holes on the edge of the wood and attached it with cable ties. The lino was free from a carpet shop and the ply only cost £3 from a local wood place.
Thanks. Thats a great cage and I love the shelving idea. I have a couple of ferplast corner shelves for it, I guess I'll have to put them in then try and fill in any deadly drops with plywood/lino.
