We had to separate our russians in the early evening and we put one in a temporary bin cage which we emptied and gave her what we had spare to make a home and got a replacement cage the next day.

I don't know if this helps I agree that getting the dwarf a new cage seems the best option and the syrian one doesn't sound suitable

Hey everyone,

after deep consideration, we decided to get a new cage for the syrian Its a guinea pig cage (which looks like a big version of the one we already have, the bars are maybe a little too big so we are having to work around that, we are also putting in two shelves our selves not PDF wood so no need to worry there lol

Now i have one queriee, the bottom of the cage has a checkered rigged pattern? does this matter, we have the tools to get rid of them so let me know

We are currently building the cage, and will show you the end results later on, is a big cage but not too tall! phew.

Both my mini dunas and the duna multy have those ridges, I assume it's just to give a bit more grip than the plain plastic, it's fine though

The ridges are fine, they just help with grip
