Ovo Habitrail

Hi i was wondering if anyone uses a Ovo Habitrail cage for Syrian Hamsters?

I have one for Sookie and love it

No, it would be way to small on it's own for a Syrian, if it was attached to a big bin cage I would use it as a bed

i had it for Nessie...she outgrew it by the time she was 5 weeks old! she's moved into a tank cage now, and the only thing i kept from that dreadful cage was the wheel..lol. it's veryvery tiny, even for a robo in my opinion.

It is way too small for a syrian.
I hate those cages.

I agree with wofunny....I'd only use it to attatch to a bigger cage and use it as a sleeping area.

I also agree. When I initially looked at photos of this cage I thought it looked ok but then I researched it a bit more I found it was small. I would advise getting a lager cage or extending it. I have the Gabber Rex and would definately recommend it or the zoo zone is fab too.

It's not suitable for a Syrian and even Dwarves have problems climbing the tubes etc. (especially Winter Whites/Campbells due to their furry feet) It's so expensive to make a big enough set up as the compartments are so small. You may aswell get a Duna Multy or a ZooZone.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking of getting a zoo zone for bella but i really love the Ovo.
I manage to get part of it discounted from P@H as they are moving on to rotastak now. I have the dwaft one for sookie at the moment and an extra compartment. I am also going to get the loft and extend that over the next few months.

I will not get one for Bella though thank you for your advice

Is Sookie a Winter White/Campbells? If so the whole set up of tubes will need to be horizontal as they cannot climb vertical tubes.

Yes she is

I put them too the side as i knew she wouldnt be able to climb then. Even the tubes for the dwafts have little ridges for them to climb but i thought i would be unfair for her to climb them.
