Meshing the ZZ2 lid
Hi all
Honey's Zoozone 2 has arrived. She's in there now (and she LOVES it) but I haven't meshed the lid yey which is fine for now as she can't reach up but once her new bits from Surrey pets come she will be able to climb up so I need to do it asap! I'm totally useless when it comes to DIY - where is the best place to get mesh from and what's the best thing to attach it with? I had a look in B&Q but the only mesh they had had quite big gaps and wasn't really what I was looking for.

Re: Meshing the ZZ2 lid
what about this?
B&Q Mesh Panel (L)0.9m, 52010B
should be big enough for the lid, quite cheap and I think the spacing is quite small

Re: Meshing the ZZ2 lid
I bought mesh from B&Q in the garden centre. It's 1cm square mesh and has been fine. I used cable ties to attach the mesh to the cage, you can buy them in B&Q and it's easy peasy to do even I could do it and I'm useless with DIY!

Re: Meshing the ZZ2 lid
Yeah, 1cm square mesh is fine, can be found in garen centres, diy stores etc. Just cut to the right size and cable tie at regular intervals to make it secure.

Re: Meshing the ZZ2 lid
Glad she likes it what do you think of the size? Was you in awe at first? As I was completely overwhelmed by the size hehe!! I got my mesh from a garden center it is just chicken wire with a 1cm gap.. Hope you find some! Sounds like Honey is going to be a spoilt little girly!

Re: Meshing the ZZ2 lid
I can't believe how much space she has, it's like a palace!! She seems really content in there. We had her in a 3 tier wire cage before but she never really used the levels, she used to just sit on the bottom and chew the bars. Whenever me or my bf would put our hands in the cage she would clamber on, so eager to come out but my bf put his hand in to the ZZ the other day and she didn't even want to come out! She sniffed his hand then went back to playing with her toys.
