unsuitable toy
i bought this last week for coco thinking it would be perfect for her to play with and bite,
she loved and spent a lot of her time biting it! however when i heard a strange rustling coming from her cage i wondered what she was upto and went to check on her, to my surprise she was inside the hideout tearing off the plastic coating which was more like cling film and pouching it!! luckily i managed to take it off her though and the hideout was binned straight away, i didnt notice the inside was covered with the stuff when i bought it otherwise i wouldnt have got it for her, i just couldnt believe theyd put that stuff on something meant for a hamster!!!

Re: unsuitable toy
Aww that so unfortunate as it looks like such a great nesting hideout and perhaps expensive? But its good you found out about it before it was tooo late.

Re: unsuitable toy
I have one of these the Boris likes to use - I would never leave him unsupervised with it though - I am always worried that he will get stuck and not be able to breath under all the substrate!!
