Lets see your Hamster Cages! Updated Thread 2006/2007
Hey everyone! I thought it would be fun to start an updated thread about this. One thing I love about cage cleaning is rearranging it in fun ways, and coming up with new ideas to help keep the hamster’s entertained and stimulated. Plus I like to see what other people have done. We do have an old thread about the same topic, but many pictures that have been posted don’t show anymore. So please post your hamster cage set-ups here!

What great cages you got there, Does it take a long time to clean out Gwen’s cage?

It doesn’t take long, but it’s a large tank, so it’s heavy and awkward to handle. I usually get my husband to help me get it off the stand for cleaning.

Does Pichu manage to get up that verticle tube? My robos nest anywhere and everywhere! Their preference right now is to nest in their plastic corner sand bath! (or under it sometimes!) I`ve ordered them a Gabber Rex cage online, so I`m hoping it will arrive this week. They are in a Savic Rody tank, which I feel is too small for them.

Pichu climbs up the tubes just fine; he zips up and down that thing! His preferred sleeping place is up in his little tower.

Here are our cages! We use the Gabber Rexes for most of our hams because they are roomy and instead of having lots of levels have a very big floor area. This gives the hams lots of room and stops them from 'bungee jumping'! We have a selection fo toys so change them with every cage clean so they don't get bored.
This is Nelson's cage
This is Bailey's cage
This Pawaver's cage (these three are all in Gabbers)
This is Sonni's cage (I don't know what type it is)
This is Little Red's cage (It is a Mill House from Rydon)

Awesome! I do love those cages! Im starting to see similar stuff here in the US. I like the shape of these for the same reasons you said PH. But I do love a good bin cage as well hehe. Thanks for sharing pics!

Here is a pic of my cage for my 2 female chinese. Although, looking at the Gabber Rex cages i may look into getting one of those as they look much bigger. Mine is a Savic Rody de Luxe (i think the 'Luxe' bit was added on as mine came with tubes but i no longer use them) I like to change their toys about abit to give them something different but everything else stays in the same place Oh, i have changed it again from this picture as soon as i get a picture loaded i will post it on here
