meshing?
i have realised i need to mesh my ZZ1 lid and have a stupid question...
do i mesh the top of the lid or the underside?! i guess doing the top would be safer for Mavis?
how have you all done yours?

Re: meshing?
you can do it eitehr way really!
But i did it on the top
Its really simple to do, just cut the mesh with strong wire cutters to the size of the lid. Next, attach cable tie ot wrap wire round all teh edge and in the middle too (otherwise they can sometimes push it up and slip through the lid bars or trap a limb)
Finally sand down the mesh edges or tape round them to protect you fingers!

Re: meshing?
Aw, FM, I'm planning on meshing a rody and am going to have mesh underneath the bars. That way my little troublemaker can't get to the bars to rub her nose (and she's managed it in a Rody before!) and the pokey bits of the cable ties are on the outside. But that's just me

Re: meshing?
I've just spent almost 2 hours meshing my ZZ1 and i'm very happy with it.
I have meshed over the top of the bars and used loads of cable ties so there is no way she can push it up.
I had to leave a cm gap at the back where the lid joins on for the clips and since i took the picture i have covered the edge of the mesh there with duck tape incase Mavis tries to stick her nose through.
What do you think of my handywork?!
thanks for all your advice
