Default New zoo zone!

Hello everyone

I have just accidently been out and bought Mavis a pink medium zoo zone, i have set it up and popped her in and she has spent the last 10 mins running round exploring.
I was fed up with the space my 2 cages joined together was taking up in the lounge and it was a pain to get into the cages to move things if i needed to without taking the whole lot apart. I was also fed up of forever hoovering megazorb up!

Do you think i need to mesh the bars? The spacing is quite big (just over 2cm) but i can't work out if she could squeeze through or not.
I'd rather not if i don't need to as the cage looks lovely as it is, my old two were meshed when i joined them together and it looked so messy!

She's gone back to bed now but she seemed happy enough with it. She can have a good play later on this evening!

She has settled in and is still sleeping.
i have to pop out to the pub in a bit to have a drink and pick my husband up, and am now a bit worried about the bar spacing!

I will pop something on top of the cage before i go out but does anyone have a syrian in a ZZ1 think i should maybe mesh it tomorrow?

i would remove all the toys that she can climb to get to the bars, you will be surprised what they can fit through.

but defiantly mesh it!

We left Hammy a night or two with no mesh but he had no high toys...

His cage is now meshed but one bar width in the corner was missed, so he could squeaze out from the top of his bridge if he really wanted too I suppose... (no point meshing the whole thing)

Everyone was adament he wouldn't squeaze out but I didnt wan't to risk it!

Also the cage looks lovely!

Last night she managed to get her head through the bars and i'm not sure she will be able to get all the way through but i don't want her getting stuck something I used the little bit of mesh I have from my two old cages and meshed the front of the bars then put heavy books over the rest, off to b and q to sort it out properly today. This morning she had tipped her food bowlyover so i put the plastic food bar thing in that came with the cage.
