Fluffagrams - do you happen to know if Tuftyfuffs is going to the show either as Judge or entering the show?

I think she's on holiday at the moment so she won't be there I'm afraid.

I know that there's going to be several other well known Syrian breeders there if you had any questions, I'm sure that they'd be happy to help.

Re: Drayton (MHC) Show - 30th September 2017
I was wanting to get onto her waiting list. I am not on Facebook and email is less reliable. Babies for sale may be at the show but I don't know which breeders have logged sales.
Right now may be a little too soon but you can always fall in love with a baby!

By this time the Sales Manager should have an idea of what's been booked in for sale so you could always send her an email. Her details are on the show schedule.

We enjoyed the show today and blown away by all the cuteness of the hamsters as well as the size of the syrians. We didn't realise hamsters could be that large
Thank you to the moderator (sorry I didn't get your name) for showing us round and giving us great information.
If there are other local shows we plan to come along.

Re: Drayton (MHC) Show - 30th September 2017
I'm glad you enjoyed the day Quicksilver. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to say 'Hi' to you myself.
I had a good day despite feeling a bit rough and was Book Steward for the dwarf section. The judge gave me a few helpful tips and was lovely to work with. Matthew came home with a 3rd Place in Normal Chinese and a 2nd in Small Hamstery but poor little Juno was the lowest scoring hamster on the table (aside from Non-Standard) and consequently came home empty handed. As I feel that her likeliness to grow into any kind of potential for showing is getting less and less likely, she has now been taken off the show team and will join Jess as a pet only hamster.
Oddly enough, I deliberated bringing James instead and part of me wonders whether I should have gone with that instead.

I didn't take any show hammies this time but had all the show sec paperwork to keep me busy. I managed some chatting time though.

Trust your instincts, Fluffagrams! Poor wee Juno - the bottom of the table is a great place to be (according to the first hamster I showed!)

Re: Drayton (MHC) Show - 30th September 2017
That's useful to know there is another show in oxfordshire -I'll keep a look out. Thanks!
In my eyes all the hammies looked like winners to me - I found it fascinating, and great to have the chance to see the different species. I'm glad the shows allow people to come along to see what it's all about
