Re: Quigley: Show Ham?
Realised why the ticking on Quigley’s face and his eye markings are not coming up clearly in photos: I have been photographing him in a dark room with no flash! Does his face look better in these? I used flash for these photos.

Re: Quigley: Show Ham?
Lovely photos. Especially the one with either his tong out or mouth in mid chew.

Re: Quigley: Show Ham?
Thanks CMB and Coco!
Was hoping Souffle might be able to 'critique' Quigley in those latest pics, particularly his facial markings?

Re: Quigley: Show Ham?
He's still young AP and is moulting and also as I said he's not in my hand so I can't look at undercoat, chest band, belly fur etc.
His face is still quite pale and I'd like to see more ticking around the eyes and over the head, It may come as he grows and also the richness of the Chestnuttu colour
He may just suit the judge at a show perfectly! Why not take him in pets and then you can ask people around how he might do in main show?

Re: Quigley: Show Ham?
Thank you Souffle my mum and I had to laugh at reading your expert critique of him (not because it's not a good judgement, I hasten to add) - my poor baby Quigley is imperfect! Shock, horror! Makes him seem so pathetic, which is endearing and silly. Thankfully, he is clearly unaware of this

Re: Quigley: Show Ham?
Here is a mature Golden with a nice amount of ticking and the colour having a lovely richness to it. Long hair does however dilute the depth of the colour and you don't see the ticking so well but on the face it should remain due to the hair being shorter there

Re: Quigley: Show Ham?
AP,
Go for it...! I entered Pip last year in our local show just in Pet class as she is only a pet store Hammy and she won her class and just missed out on best in Show too....
It is very exciting and nerve wracking too..!
Personally I think Quidge will walk it he is such a glorious little dude...!
Oh and yet more fab shots, and I thought I was the HC mad person always taking and showing Pics of our Hamster
