Re: Cardiff Show (MHC) - 30th July 2016
We had a lovely day at Cardiff yesterday.
I was asked to Pen Steward the dwarfies which I always find to be a worthwhile experience and there's always so much you can learn from the judges. Since I started stewarding at shows I've learnt to look at hamsters more objectively which will be helpful when selecting future show hamsters and keepers from litters.
Meanwhile James and Victoria were doing me proud and came away with the following results:
Lilliput’s Miss Lilli-Victoria, Countess of Metallica:
3rd in D8 (Normal Chinese)
2nd in D14 (Intermediate)
2nd in D15 (Small Hamstery)
Commended in D20 (Diploma)
Victoria got some lovely comments and was deemed to be 'Young With Potential'.
Vectis’ Lord James, Earl of Metallica:
1st in D8 (Normal Chinese)
1st in D14 (Intermediate)
1st in D15 (Small Hamstery)
1st in D19 (Grand Challenge)
1st in D20 (Diploma)
Lord James won Best In Show, came home with a Diploma and his first Certificate of Merit. When I started thinking about showing I never thought for a moment that I'd be coming home with BIS so I'm incredibly delighted with James's result.
Here he is with his cup and rosettes:

Well done! What a great day for you & the hams Fluffagrams
Little James is a real star, he looks so cute & tiny looking down on all his rosettes!
Great to hear how well little Victoria is doing all ready too, early days for her but she is doing remarkably well.

Wow wow Fluffagrams, many congratulations indeed! Victoria is coming along nicely for such a young girl but James swept the board there. What an achievement! He looks adorably cute in his cup- a real winner!
Great set of results too Vectis and you can bask in James's glory as his breeder!

Fantastic results! Not in the least bit surprised Lord James won so many, he's so perfect and handsome.
Love the pic of him with his prizes - well done Lord James and to you fluffagrams.
And also well done to Victoria. So true about her being young with potential.
I wish they did shows in Scotland.
