Re: What do you do with your rosettes and prize cards?
I'm looking forward to the day when one of my hams wins our first card/rosette This has given some good ideas of how to keep them!
Herbi, there are set standards for each colour/species. I'll give you the links below
Syrian - https://hamsters-uk.org/content/view/78/63/
Dwarf - https://hamsters-uk.org/content/view/79/63/

Re: What do you do with your rosettes and prize cards?
Recently i have been interesting in showing Syrians and wanted to learn more about the judging of them and what you specifically look for in each animal. This seems very detailed so thanks

If/When you join the Midland/Southern/Northern Hamster Club, you get an NHC guidebook which contains the standards too
I lost mine and printed out a new one...it took a lot of ink xD

I think every single ham I've seen is gorgeous and cute but I'm not sure mine would win any prizes!

If you'd like to have a go at showing but are not sure about whether your hamster meets the standards, there is a Pet Class in which hamsters are judged on tameness and condition. Most of the Southern and Midland shows will have a Pet Class that costs about £1 per hamster to enter and you usually only have to be there for 2pm rather than the whole day.
Whilst at the show, there'll be plenty of other hamster enthusiasts to chat to and share tips with.

Is that the paper version? I don't think I got that. I just get the monthly journal. I got the paperless membership

I wish we had shows in the US that were closer, it's lovely to get to see all the adorable little fluff balls.
