Default Bath show query

Hello! I'm hoping to go to my first hamster show in Bath on Saturday. I'm not taking either of the hams to show in the pet class so will just be me going for a mooch around. Can anyone tell me what a good time to go is? Thanks!

Same here this will be my first - I was looking at the show information and it says the doors open at 9am. I was thinking of arriving around then to look around.

I'd aim to arrive after judging has commenced. 9am would be too early as they will still be setting up and penning and benching the show hamsters. By around 11am the shop stock will be out and judging started and you will have a better chance to chat and look at the hamsters on the show bench. Pets are normally judged after lunch so those will be arriving too and you could have a bite to eat at the show. Hope that helps.

That's great. Thank you! 11am is what we're aiming for but as I'm neither buying nor showing, I wasn't sure. Didn't know if it was bad form to be early while they were trying to judge but similarly if there is jumble etc don't want to be too late! Thanks for your help Soufflé! And Almiraswolf, I'll spend a chunk of my time trying to work out if I can spot any HCers! It was very disappointing that there was a show 5miles from my house in November & I couldn't go so determind to make this one!

It's not that it's bad form really it's just that things aren't really set up so unless you are keen to help with that there isn't a lot to look at till judging gets going! It's rather an early start as well!
Hope you both enjoy the show Take some pics won;t you.
