**NOW BACK ON!** Rotherham Show - 7th September 2014

The Rotherham show was cancelled as the main event was cancelled due to police advice last night.

THE SHOW IS NOW BACK ON as the protestors are no longer marching and there is extra security.

I would advise keeping an eye on the Northern Hamster Club facebook page for any further updates later in the week.

Glad I missed that roller coaster! I don't think my heart would of coped hahaha!

I've never been to one of these shows before, this will be my first time, and I'm actually excited! Hope to see you all there!

I've only jst decided quite last minute - I've never been to a hamster show.... but excited face: I'm going!! So Looking forward to meeting some fellow hamster fanciers finally!!

I was sadly only there for a short amount of time, as I went mainly to choose a new hamster for myself, so I wanted to get him home and settled, but I'm hoping if held here again next year I'll come along again and get to have a proper look around and maybe even get to chat to people

I did look at some of the hamsters in their show pens and I was amazed by the size of the syrians! Especially one who was HUGE, both me and my dad remarked that we'd never seen a hamster so big! This was the first time I had seen hamsters that weren't pet shop/rescues and I never knew the size difference would be that noticeable.

I got to pet an adorable and wonderfully calm winter white dwarf that one of the ladies on the sales table had out and got to handle a couple of the syrians when choosing my new boy. Such wonderful temperaments!

Yeah, the size difference shocked me too! And I thought my Bailey was big! Hahaha.

Huge thanks to Nooboo hamsters, and the lovely lady who was selling the hams. I came away with two gorgeous Syrians (names pending) one dove male and a lovely black tort female!
(brother and sister is turns out, so I won't be breeding them together! ;D )

But I'm getting to borrow a gorgeous stud boy next month, so excited! =D

I too was only there a short amount of time as I was only going for a couple of Hammies i came home with 2 winter whites, may have been the ones you were handling LuckySaffron? I was speaking to the lady with blue hair called Anita, she was very helpful. All the hamsters were adorable!
