Default Shows 2014?

I can't seem to find a list of shows anywhere for this year.
The dates listed on SHC website are all 2013 as is the map in this topic. MHC website doesn't work for that section either. I was trying to see what shows were near to me so hopefully I could plan on going to a few over the summer with hopefully a ham to enter in the pet class.

I'm in Bracknell (Berkshire) but travelling a bit isnt an issue as long as its not the other end of the country

It's also on the National Hamster Council website

There's a show in Bracknell on 13th September - the Real London Show (The Real London Small Livestock Show). It's got a hamster show, including pet hamster class, but also has a guinea pig, gerbil, mouse and chinchilla show.

Thank you both! Just after I posted this I found them in the hamster council website.
Have a feeling the Bracknell show is when we are on holiday would you believe it!!
Andover is quite close though and have family in Gloucestershire so bath and shurdington may be a goer

As far as entering hams for pet classes, do you just turn up with your ham or have to pre-register? As she is a pet shop ham am I right in thinking that 'pet' is the only category I can enter her in? Can pets be shown in carriers? Or do they need the actual show pens to? What do most people show their pets in? I have a hamster pet carrier but perhaps it might be a bit small for her to be in all day

You just turn up before 2pm and register the ham for pet class

I don't think there're any rules against entering pet shop hams in main class (except for hybrids not being allowed) but a pet shop ham may not do too well against the breeder hams. You can use her carrier for pet class and it should be fine, she'll probably just sleep all day anyway

Thanks Kyrillion that's really helpful.

Hoping I'll be able to take Lilly to a few, would be nice to meet lots of Hammies and put a face to people's usernames

There definitely isn't a rule against entering a pet shop ham in main class -- but as kyrill said, a pet shop ham may not do so well! My old Syrian had the dubious honour of being bottom of the show table the one time I entered her in main class Plus for main class it's more "hassle", as you have to hire (or buy) specific show pens, be there earlier and stay later than you'd need to for pet class, etc. Not that I am saying don't show in main class, but that pet class is (I believe) the best place to start.
