well I have just had a massive row over this show as it seems my dad has said id go to my great aunts golden wedding anniversary party without even consulting me.

i am defiantly going as I wont back down on this as I informed him of the show in April though i might have to use public transport.. but it’s the principle of it

i haven't a clue what to enter. Anyone i enter has to be taken into the travelodge with me. I haven't got anyone who has a hope of winning, so i don't know what to do really. I guess i could just enter for the chance of getting something in Novice, but i don't know if it's worth all the hassle of swapping their cages and getting them into the hotel etc. just to maybe win novice. How many entries are there in novice and small hamstery usually (although i can enter the latter for dwarfs)?

How many places for novice get a rosette? Is it just first place?

I know it's not the point, but if i don't have a hope, there's no real point in entering, seen as i'd have to go to a lot of trouble to bring the hams down.

Novice and small hamstery are huge because of the amount of people who haven't won with Southern before - yesterday at Andover the LH and SH syrians were split because of the size - so there was 7 small hamstery entries alone for LH and 6 for Novice for LH.

Obviously they go to the overall hamster with the most points and rosette for first place only

I think i might give up on getting one of those beautiful rosettes then. Too much competition down there!

I think you should get a rosette for all the effort in coming down south with your hammies Maybe we could have a long distance entry,i think you would win

I know I am hamster obsessed but surely a family party is more important than a hamster show??

i think i'd rather go to a DIY shop that a family do

unless there is nice food. Usually just revolting pork pies and other such dead bits on sticks though

How about if you brought a pet?? They all get rosettes (unless I run out!!) Though admittedly some of them will say South of England while I use up old stock!!
