Here, we often get 40cm of snow in 24 hours during winter... This year, we have had, within a week, 3 storms of 40cm of snow each... But I guess it's not as common for everybody... It's just better that everyone and hammy stay safe...

The really frustrating thing is that everyone knew this was forecast so you'd think that main roads could be made safe.

Poor Yaz was already on the train with Aki, Hammond, Jaffa, Nandi, Serra and Saoirse when she heard from the show secretary and had to get off at Rugby and come home. She was due to bring two new hams back for her sister and Emma&Bee too. Bekki and NSLO won't be getting their hippos and Alison not only won't get hers but is also stuck with her ex at his workplace all day, which is its own special circle of Hell. And CharlieB's foundation stock's arrival will be delayed.

There was a photo doing the rounds on FB last time it snowed here of a car on a winding road in Canada. The road was clear, but either side were walls of snow towering over it. Annie, we need your help!!!

We may still be able to get ours this weekend if the weather improves tomorrow, but today being cancelled has meant a day in bed and testing hams! I feel awful for everyone else! And hoping those that started the journey warm back up soon! Hopefully we will all meet next time xx

Such a shame for everyone. The bit about Alison's special circle of hell made me laugh though, just so not the situation you want to end up in! Hope she's ok...

Hope Yaz got all her hammies back ok, nightmare to be already on the train with them all

Yes, Yaz got home and the hammies are having warm porridge

Hammond went too in the end. Jaffa chipped a tooth but otherwise everyone is fine, and I think he was more panicked than hurt...

I'm exausted ! And so are my back and arms ! I'm lucky my OH is in good shape because... !!! At one point, my front yard had about 10feet high of snow from the shovelling and the storms !! It's about time it stops snowing here ! lollllllllllllll !!

I was going to go up to Coventry for a University Applicant day, but after reading this thread it convinced that it wasn't a good idea to drive all that way...
