Do you think you can go then Pinkneon?

I hope so! Just got to decide if it's for the day or overnight - but need to sort some accomdodation. Need to find out exactly where it is, as I have never been to Bath!
If I can get a txi from the station does anyone know how much that'd be? And whether or not they'd let me take Belle in it ...

Re: November Bath show
If you can get there in 3 hours then I'd do it as a day trip. If you're on public transport you can always relax on the trains and it'd be easier on both you and Belle probably...
Maybe look up companies who run taxis around bath and ring them for a quote and if the ham'd be allowed?

Re: November Bath show
Ok. What time does it start? Looks like it's gonna be a VERY long day ... Also how would I get Belle out of her cage when she's asleep? If I wake her she might bite me ...! And won't she get cold in the carry case? Should I take a blanket to put over the cage?

Re: November Bath show
Don't worry about when it starts. Pet class is judged at 2pm and thats when you want to be there.
Main class judging starts at like 10:30am I think but we definetly won't be there that early.
Er... The pet class judge will get her out when the time comes, but if she bites when woken it may be better for her to stay at home.
Ours won't get cold because we'll give them a big heap of bedding - the same as they get at home. But main class hams don't have more than the substrate they're shown on and they're all fine.

Re: November Bath show
Im not certain of the station but I will find out for you tomorrow. When you come out of the station there is a taxi sign leading to a taxi rink. They are fine with hamsters and it cost us about 7 or 8 pound. We then rang him when ready and he picked us up.

Re: November Bath show
Thanks Womblehands. Krilliondaemon to be honest she's only ever bitten me once when I woke her, and that was when we went to the vet. She'd just fallen asleep and her name was called so I had to wake her up again!

Re: November Bath show
Then maybe check and see how she is about being woken up again before you go?
If she's fine with it then you're sorted, but some really friendly hams do get a bit fed up at shows so they're not for everyone.

lol how far away is your nearest show? Surely if you could get to Bath in 7 hours you could get somewhere else a little sooner?
We're going to be spending at least 3.5 hours travelling to Bath but a certain few people talked me into it a while ago lol

Re: November Bath show
I think 4 hours is the closest I've ever found from google maps xD
But live in Edinburgh, the joys of Scotland. Plus I have a very busy time from now until about a week before christmas so I doubt trying running off around half the country is a good idea xD
