Willington show - 26th July

This is going to be my first show and it is the one most local to me and on the day right after my birthday! lol.
Is anyone else going to this show? I am going to enter my two boys sparks and marley (both long haired dark cinnamon) in the pets as they are from pet shop. mikey is getting a bit past it now bless him! so wont be taking him with me. hopefully by then I can have my female to start breeding with aswell! Does anyone know of any show quality females around? maybe a smoke/pearl or cream? Its a full house here at the moment with my mother being a breeder of cats and us also having a litter of border collie pups at the moment too!

It's the nearest show to me by miles - just 20 minutes away!

Yeah its the nearest to me by miles too bout 30 mins away. Any advice anyone can give me for my first show would be appreciated!

I'm no expert by a long shot but I have done a few shows now! What are you planning to do - show your hamster/s in Pets or the main show? Pets is much easier for a first timer - you can show them in their own cage or any carrier you have available and you don't have to be at the show all day - pet class is usually around 2pm and you can enter on the day.

If you want to show in the main show you have to enter in advance and arrive around 9.30-10.00am - and you won't be able to leave until all the judging is finished - usually 4pm-ish. All main show hamsters have to be in official show pens - you can hire these as a novice so that's not really a problem.

Im entering one in pets and one in the main. Its the nearest to me so il probably only be going to this show in the space of a year as I dont drive myself.
Thanks for the advice, what is the procedure as in what do u do when u walk in and do u know how much the show pens are to rent?

It's a Midland Show so the pens are 1.00 each, I think.

Look out a couple of weeks before on here and souffle will post the schedule - that will tell you the classes, who to send your entries in to (you can phone or email usually and pay on the day) and the closing date for entries
