Any idea on entrance cost? Do 'competitors' pay the same amount as the public?

Yes they do Demecat. If you look at the show site it should say but I think it was £7 for an adult last year which is quite a lot really but there is quite a lot going on and lots to see. You can also often pick up freebies like trial bags of bedding and food.

We wont be going to this show this year. It's the first time for 9 years we won't have gone but Pophammy has 7 A level exams and we can't really justify the costs for 1 hamster!
Instead we have decided to donate our entrance and travel fees to a really amazing cause. My very special and beautiful friend Ali has a form of blood cancer and has been having treatment. She has decided to have what remains of her hair shaved off to raise funds for Macmillan Nurses. For someone to turn around and turn something so awful into something wonderful and amazing is admirable but typical of the brave lady she is.
If anyone would like to read about Ali and even if you has a spare few pennies her story is here
Ali Burton is fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support

Oh Souffle, I was also meant to ask about the showing bit, do you get a badge or anything that says you're a 'competator'?

I'm just concerned with me being a newbie that people might not realise I'm there to enter Messy! lol

I do always carry my Northern membership 'card' though.

No you dont get a badge. I am sure hamster people will know what your there for if you have a hammy

the ham section is as soon as you walk through the door anyway

You do however need a badge to take photos just incase no one realised.
